We all meet up before hand and go as a group to this year's 34th annual multicultural festival!

In this interactive workshop you will use real clay to make a necklace, bracelet, or other small ceramic creation. We will have stamps, cookie cutters as well a full selection of clay working tools. Afterwards you will choose a glaze and in a couple weeks you will be able to pick up your finished ceramic piece!! Or, use the power of the brush and paint a reminder to put in your room.

Come on out and bare all, express your identity and your values by singing songs that represent YOU! Express who you are through song on Karake night in the Baobab lounge!

We will gather in the Crown/Merrill Community room to duke it out through SSB Brawl, Ult. Marvel vs. Capcom 3, and other fighting games.

We will talk about who we are as "gamers" if we consider ourselves to be one, and talk in a group about what being a gamer means and how we are looked at from the rest of the world.

Clothing donation boxes will be set out in the Merrill dungeons in order to provide students with a place to drop off unwanted clothing that will get donated to the homeless of Santa Cruz, in turn making their job of packing easier.

It's Moat Day today! Come watch some fantastic artists as they paint murals, and do some art yourself! I'll teach you all the tricks if you've never done it before, or I'll show you some advanced moves if you have. Bring white/light cloths! A few things will be given free too......

This program sheds light upon how discrimination affects everyone but, despite these discriminations, we can all still come together on a common ground: baking cupcakes! Each resident will get an uncooked cupcake and food coloring to share amongst themselves. A list of discriminations will be read aloud and has a coordinating color. If this discrimination affected a person, they add the color. At the end we will bake the cupcakes and discuss how to help rid ourselves of discrimination!

Make beautiful art with the flick of a wrist! Pick up a water bottle filled with paint, then splatter that paper with a swirl of color. Express yourself and learn how producing and interpreting art establishes values and identity.

Come see Bob Moses, leader of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee as he speaks downtown at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium. Moses is coming to Santa Cruz to speak at the 29th annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Convocation. This program is one of UCSC's most important and consistent outreach events to the Santa Cruz community in celebration of the historic civil rights leader.

We will begin in the floor lounge at 5 pm with an overview of Moses' role in SNCC and depart at 5:30 pm, using the Metro to travel downtown. The event starts at 7 pm and is completely free for students to attend.
